Every practice has the same opening hours. We are open Monday to Friday from 08.00 to 17.00. After 17.00 and in the weekend, call the out-of-hours general practitioner service (huisartsenpost) in your region in an emergency (see the numbers below).

Frequently asked questions
Can I always drop by?
In the Netherlands it is common to call first to schedule an appointment. During this call the medical assistants decide whether you need to come in. Sometimes they can already help you on your way by phone. It is not possible to come in without an appointment. Is your situation life-threatening? Then call 112.
Do I choose which practice I go to each time?
Together with the medical assistant, we look at where there is room for you to be seen by the general practitioner as soon as possible. So you can choose your own practice, but then we do have to check whether an international doctor is there to see you. Is there a medical reason why you need to be seen quickly? Then you get the general practitioner and location where we have a spot for you soonest.
What if I am not able to come in?
We also offer e-consults. That means you speak to your healthcare provider online. Our medical assistants look with you at whether that is possible for your question. If the general practitioner needs to see you in person, it is important that you come to the practice. There is also the option of the general practitioner visiting you at home. That is only for people who have limitations and are not able to come to the practice. Discuss with the medical assistant what is best for your situation.
