Who is Fonkelzorg International?
Many international employees are not registered with a Dutch general practitioner (huisarts). Often that is because they are here temporarily, or because they find arranging general practitioner care complicated.
We think that can and must be different!
Fonkelzorg International is here especially for them, and so also for you. We make general practitioner care accessible for international employees. We also help you in your own language, so we understand each other well. Our International team speaks English, Polish, Bulgarian, Romanian, Spanish and of course Dutch.
We always have room for new patients and work with you to find the best solution for your medical question.

We believe that everyone in the Netherlands should have easy access to good general practitioner care. Including the people who live and work here only temporarily. That is why we make sure we always have room for new international patients, and we provide care in several languages. When there is no language barrier, the quality of care is higher. This is how we give care with a smile, day in, day out. The best care for our patients always comes first.

With every choice we make, we ask ourselves this question: ‘Does this contribute to better general practitioner care in the Netherlands’? If the answer is ‘yes’, we go ahead with it, otherwise we do not. It is our vision to combine this passion for general practitioner care with entrepreneurship. So we actively look at how we can make business efficiency work to the benefit of care.

You will come across Floortje Fonkelfee a lot at Fonkelzorg! She is not just a mascot, she is the sparkling heart of Fonkelzorg! Optimistic to the tips of her wings and always full of energy, she flutters around with her magic wand, looking for new ways to make care even better. Floortje is eager to learn and curious. She loves discovering new things and inspiring others with her ideas. But watch out, she is also a little bit naughty. Sometimes she plays small pranks to shake things up, because she knows: a bit of humor can work wonders. 🌟
Her passion for care is contagious. Floortje reminds us that care can be not only professional, but also warm, innovative and full of zest for life. 💫
